Bao Loc, Vietnam – 10 November 2022. It was a joyous day for the Brothers of Charity as they welcomed two Vietnamese brothers, Joseph and Augustine, into the Congregation.
For the first time, a perpetual profession took place in Bao Loc parish church where the brothers run a rehabilitation home for psychiatric patients. It was moving to see how the whole parish was involved in the event and what bond the brothers were able to develop with the local community that is really supportive of them.
After 20 years of being active in Vietnam, and after an initial period of candidate formation, the group now has 15 brothers, three novices, and a postulant. In addition to the centre in Bao Loc, the brothers run a school for children with autism in Ho Chi Minh City. This is charity at its best.
