Rome – On the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, the newly created metropolitan archbishops traditionally receive the pallium from the Pope.
Today, the honour was awarded to Mgr. Jozef De Kesel, the new archbishop of Mechelen-Brussels (Belgium). As a congregation, we wish to offer Mgr. De Kesel our sincere congratulations and we are delighted to work with him in many pastoral activities in Belgium. Remarkably, Mgr. De Kesel was among the first group of seminarians who came to study in our house in Rome in 1972 with the transfer of the Belgian College to our General House. His relationship with the brothers is always warm and intense.
