On 27 September 2016, feast of Saint Vincent de Paul, begins a special Vincentian year on the occasion of the 400th anniversary of the start of Vincent de Paul’s charitable care for the poor, the spiritually and materially poor.
This jubilee year has a very relevant theme: “I was a stranger and you welcomed me” (Mt 25:35).
As Brothers of Charity, a congregation with a Vincentian spirituality, we want to share in this commemorative year and reflect on what Saint Vincent means to us today. The main feature of the congregational calendar for 2017 will be the Vincentian spirituality and the animation plan will focus specifically on Saint Vincent. Our Founder, the Servant of God Peter Joseph Triest, was dubbed the Belgian Vincent de Paul.
